'You need to start to build a genuine relationship. It might be a bit circumspect at first because you are recruiter,' explains Eldridge. 'But then once a professional relationship is built, and an opportunity does come, you can tap someone on the shoulder with a job. If that person isn’t looking for a job, then you can bet they can recommend someone who is."
