My client is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Managing Editor who will lead their digital editing to become a true 360 brand. They need a strong individual who can lead the end-to-end development of the content, creating content and effectively manage the various interactive platforms. This opportunity is bigger than most, potentially allowing your content to be shown to millions of people.

THE ROLE
• Responsible for the brand’s visualisation and using all of the digital platforms to enhance, amplify and enhance the product.
• Lead the digital content strategy for the brand and ensure the editorial features are of the best standard.
• Work closely with the Social Media team to maximise the brand’s social viewing on all newsfeeds.
• Alongside the Commercial team, you will need to create, commission and use compelling content to increase traffic – ultimately heightening revenue opportunities.
• With the Product team, you will input into the group’s roadmap and define requirements for new concepts and features.
• Working with the Online Marketing team to engage users with regular customer communication, newsletters and relative reports to fundamentally grow the database and audience.
• Ensure the website complies with all the editorial guidelines.
• Take ownership of all the day to day operations, development, customer satisfaction and advocacy of the brand.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED
• A self-starter who is a compelling editorial leader with a proven record of fantastic digital content and editorial strategy.
• Leadership and management experience as well as working with different stakeholders to achieve business goals.
• Attention to detail is vital to have the ability to use data to find opportunities to allow digital growth.
• Develop and manage compelling interactive products.
• Experience working with a video team to create engaging videos.
• Thorough understanding of traditional and interactive media.
• Relevant brand experience would be ideal – Entertainment/Media/Publishing
• Editorial strategy experience.
