Title: Price and Promotions Manager

Salary: Up to £60,000

Location: Central London

Degree Background: Stakeholder management, pricing analytics, commercial acumen, previous experience with statistical modelling and packages

The role: I’m searching for an experience pricing manager within a commercial environment looking to take the next step in their already successful career. This is an exciting opportunity to join a very well regarded team with a top FTSE 100 retailer, guiding a team of analysts to drive business growth. My client is responsible for a phenomenal amount of data due to the nature of their business and this role offers the prospect of working within an analytics department that is regarded as one of the best in the country.

The position available lies within the pricing and promotions team, who are responsible for everything from value strategy and market position, through to product pricing that is seen on the shelves. Although a lot of pricing autonomy lies with the category managers, the role of the pricing and promotions manager will be to engage with these stakeholders, acting as an advisor using data and insight produced by the analysts you will be responsible for. Due to the nature of the role, it is crucial that you are analytically driven with leadership capabilities and extensive experience of stakeholder management as my client is looking to hire an individual that can hit the ground running.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• The management of all pricing and promotions analytics, reporting, data, tools and systems
• Owing price data supplier relationships – external stakeholder management
• The leadership and development of the central analytics team

Desired skills and experience:

• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in a commercially focused role
• Technical skills in SQL and other data related languages.
• Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

Due to the construct of the role, it is imperative that you possess experience in a commercially focused pricing role as well as the specific ability to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience, due to the stakeholder facing nature of the position.
