3rd Line Managed Services Engineer – Microsoft MCSE/ MCIPT - Northwich

The Company:
Our client are a leading provider of channel network & server support solutions, they manage all aspects of ongoing support and maintenance covering technologies such as Servers (e.g HP Proliant, Cisco UCS, Dell, IBM).

The Role:
Our client are seeking a 3rd Line Managed Services Engineer to work within the Managed Services team. You will be responsible for providing the technical skills to support their fast growing list of Managed Services customers.
You will need wide ranging technical experience of the Microsoft server portfolio (exposure to Windows 2012 and Exchange 2013 would be useful), excellent hardware troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve faults efficiently and within tight SLAs.
You will have previous experience of field engineering or working in a remote support team

Responsibilities:
• Remote analysis and support of customer faults and changes utilising network management systems and remote access solutions (Team viewer, N-Able, Solarwinds).
• Escalate and liaise with manufacturer and other 3rd party support teams.
• Assist with the identification of hardware and software faults and root cause analysis, including advising on replacement parts for a wide variety of server hardware platforms.
• Act as subject matter expert and point of escalation for knowledge sharing between engineers.
• Requirement analysis and solution specification culminating in writing scope and design documents.

Fundamental to this role:
• Extremely well organised with good all-round communication skills and excellent written English.
• Excellent knowledge of a wide range of server hardware (e.g. HP Proliant, Cisco UCS, Dell, IBM).
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Microsoft Server products (Windows 2012, Exchange 2013).
• A flexible approach to work and prepared 'go the extra mile' to exceed customer expectations.
• Applies knowledge and skills through handling complex problems beyond own area of expertise
