This role is part of a team that ensure timely and accurate administration of bank loan products. Including direct liaison with bank introducers and customers on the telephone and by correspondence. Ensuring accuracy at all times, and that the company's processes & procedures are followed. The key aspects of the underwriting role are to:

Duties & Responsibilities
* Underwrite referred deals to policy and mandate
* Manage more information queries
* Investigate potential frauds, PEP and sanctions matches
* Log underwriting appeals
* Monthly sample review of underwriting
* Verification of the completeness and accuracy of credit proposals
* Keep electronic and paper filing in order at all times
* To keep up to date with the company’s products
* To present the company in a professional and confidential manner at all times
* To pay due care and attention to your own, and others’ health & safety at all times
* Broking team only - liaise with client finance companies in order to attempt conversion of declined deals
* Broking team only - liaise with introducers to compile required documentation

Experience & Skills
* Good educational background with proficiency demonstrable in maths and English
* Computer literate, including MS office products and email
* Candidates will ideally have experience of working in a team in an office environment
* Experience of liaising directly with customers on the telephone is preferable
* Ideal candidates will have experience in a consumer finance or similar environment
* Knowledge of TCF would be a distinct advantage
* Ability to understand and comply with documented processes and procedures
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Additional information
* Permanent / 37.5 hours a week
* Candidates will ideally be able to reliably commute to the office
* Shift working based on 8-8 Weekdays and 10-6 Saturdays and Sundays (one per month)
