Interim Financial Controls Manager
West London
3–6 months initial contract
£350 - £400 per day

InterQuest Solutions are delighted to be working with one of our key clients an electrical and telecommunications retailer and services company. The role is on an interim basis and will be based in their Head Office in West London
The main objective of this role is to ensure that key controls are developed and implemented to ensure cash leakage is minimized and robust processes are implemented to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.

This role will involve some travel to the Czech Republic where the team reporting into this role will be located.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage a team to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed and an issues are escalated on a timely basis
• Manage the production of the monthly P&L and Balance sheet for the services business £500m in revenue
• Provide high quality management accounting for the area, including period end accounting, flash reporting and management information
• Management of the balance sheet reconciliation process and ensuring formal reviews with the team is completed every month.
• Provide variance analysis and insight on a regular basis
• Prepare the annual financial statements for audit purposes.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecast process.
• Develop and implement the key controls to support any future product development
• Develop, implement and report on key controls of daily cash collections and claims processing.
• Highlight Risk and Opportunities to the business on a regular basis

Skills & Experience
• Previous experience working in a similar Financial Controls environment or as a Management Accountant
• Ideal candidates will be degree educated or Equivalent with a Business or Accounting degree
• Candidates will also have a recognised Accountancy Qualification such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA with 5 to 10 years PQE in a senior control position
• Excellent communication skills and experience, able to deal with senior stakeholders across all levels
• Experience in a large-scale organisation or within a retail environment would be a distinct advantage
