TITLE: Senior Infrastructure and Communications Officer
SALARY: £41,025 - £49,452


My client currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure and Communications Officer.

You will be joining us at an exciting transition period as they relocate to a new Civic Centre and embrace agile ways of working with improvements to customer service at the forefront of everything we do. They are also building a new Greenfield Data Centre to help create new shared services across London.

My client are looking to hire a permanent Senior Infrastructure and Communication officer to lead and manage a team of Infrastructure and Communications Officers developing and maintain the Councils ICT infrastructure and supporting key projects including but not limited to the new Civic Centre, Worksmart, technology roadmaps and Web and Digital programmes.
The Senior Infrastructure and Communications Officer will direct the technical development of the Council’s ICT infrastructure including but not limited to infrastructure management and maintenance, voice and data networks, backup recovery and archiving, telephony, unified communications, AV, webcasting, security, desktop services and applications.
Key Technical requirements:

• Lead and manage a team of Infrastructure and Communications Officers to develop and maintain all infrastructure and communications to their full potential, leading by example to ensure all team members work to the key objectives for all ICT staff;
• Support the delivery of the ICT Strategy and associated ICT Roadmaps, taking the lead on BAU projects when required. Be responsible for key aspects of the technology roadmaps;
• Manage, deliver, monitor, maintain and support all Infrastructure and network solutions for multiple agencies whether internal or external who obtain services from the Council. Organise planned out-of-hours work for upgrades, patching, re-starts, etc where necessary.
• Be responsible for setting and reviewing standards in respect of supporting users (SLAs) and successful resolution of incidents;
