IQ Public Sector currently have an exciting opportunity for a ICT Applications and Integration Developer.

You will be joining my client at an exciting transition period as they relocate to a new Civic Centre and embrace agile ways of working with improvements to customer service at the forefront of everything they do. They are also building a new Greenfield Data Centre to help create new shared services across London.

You will become part of the new Applications Team and play a pivotal role in ensuring changes within their IT systems meet the needs of residents, stakeholders and internal users. You will have a key part in redesigning ways of working to improve services, ICT and efficiencies within the new structure of the Council and help ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

You will help with their Digital transformation deliver on the next generation of transactional online services, systems and applications to continuously improve the online experience for local residents. This will aid the delivery of customer services transformation program and contribute towards the channel shift aspirations of the authority.

You will work with ICT teams and services to help in the delivery of their ICT projects on time and budget, managing the full life cycle from inception to implementation.

It will be important for you to work closely with key stakeholders, residents and service users in improving service quality and promoting creative and innovative ways of ensuring services delivered meet the needs of our community and are accessible to all users.

What are the key responsibilities?

• You will be a member development team delivering the next generation of transactional online services and customised applications which enable smarter working and deliver on the priority of anytime, anywhere access to the clients services.
• You will provide technical advice in respect of web and applications development, integrations and chosen development technologies.
• Undertake the development of web and desktop applications that provide interactive and transactional services, including integrations with back office systems and data sources.
• Eliminate manual processes and implement automation as a default.
• To maximise the role and keep it current you will need to constantly learn new technologies and seek to continuously improve solutions.

What are the key skills/experience required?

• HTML5 / CSS3
• JavaScript and associated libraries (i.e. jQuery)
• C# ASP.Net, MVC5
• PHP 5 , OOP
• Git / SVN and other VCS
• Windows Server / IIS
